Last November, I went on a solo trip to the Seattle<\/a> area in the USA. I had always been attracted by its wide open spaces, its mountain landscapes, its alpine lakes bordered by pine trees, and its steep ocean coast – without forgetting its notorious constant rain! Between road-trips and hikes, I thought it would be a shame not to take the opportunity to also do a couple session in these dreamy landscapes\u2026!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One evening, while casually watching stories on Instagram, I stumbled upon Alexis’s story – who also a wedding photographer. She was at an airport and had just landed in Seattle for the weekend to celebrate her boyfriend’s birthday! I sent her a message and we met on Sunday at 7 a.m. for a sunrise couple session and a short hike around an alpine lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That morning, the alarm went off at 4:40 am – ugghhh. If you know me a little, you know I’m not a morning person haha. But for you and the love of adventure, I can do anything! When I hit the road, It was raining heavily and it was still pitch dark. After 2 hours of driving in the pouring rain and taking small winding paths filled with potholes (it was a true obstacle course), I finally arrived at the starting point of the hike. Alexis and her bf Brad found me there, we met for the first time and it was as if we were friends!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexis and Brad have been together for 8 years and are wedding photographers and videographers based in Texas. The adjective that best describes their couple is “funny”. Well, I can confirm that we had a good laugh together during this adventure! Alexis really has a contagious laugh and they don’t take themselves too seriously, they enjoy the moment and I think you can see their personality shine through in these photos! It rained NON STOP – but that didn’t stop us, quite the contrary!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went on a hike together around the alpine lake. During the hike, we talked, shared our life experiences, our passions and laughed together. As we advanced on the trail, the day began to rise, and the landscape gradually revealed itself. At the bend of a path, between the trees, we finally saw the lake: wooow! Low clouds and rain added a very special touch of magic to the immensity of this landscape. We put some music on, danced in the rain, and created beautiful memories of this new adventure we shared together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
